I have to echo the sentiments of my fellow reviewers for this location. Service is slow Parking is a hassle Inside dining tables are a little dirty and could stand to be wiped down more than they are. Plusses: Most of the time the burritos are good. The few times they haven't, they have always remedied the situation.

I also love Chipotle, and every experience I've had at this location has sucked. The final time I visited (about a month ago) sent me right to their website to complain. The person frying chips turned to face the customer line and proceeded to stick his finger in the back of his mouth to pick something out of his teeth. He finished up with wiping his nose on his wrist. Disgusted, my friend and I still ordered. I was excited to see we were the first ones to get served from a new batch of rice......which ended up being poorly mixed with salty clumps. Kudos to Chipotle customer service for their reply to my complaint, however, which included confirmation they spoke to the kitchen manager about my experience and the sending of cards good for 2 free burritos, bowls or tacos........which I'll be using at a DIFFERENT location. :-)

I rarely do this, but I am hungry and dissatisfied so here goes... Just walked into this chipotle ( which typically has decent service) and walked out 5 minutes later because of terrible management. There were two staff cooking and two serving and nothing was ready for service. Two people prior to me had to wait to get vegetables into their bowls, no rice was ready, and we were just standing there. It seemed like everyone was new and clueless and instead of apologizing and cleaning and making this better, the manager said aloud "this is not my shift" and let things fall apart. I was not comfortable eating there and I walked out even though I was the next person in a long line.

Blunt staff, not rude but just emotionless. Expected to place the order super fast, little pause was frowned upon! The cashier however was friendly. There didn't seem friendliness amongst the staff. The area is not clean at 3pm! See the pict. Large open but unclean area. Doesn't hold to Chipotle standards

Kinda hard to say this but this is the main chipotle that I go to. After today though not sure anymore fruit flies goes as far as the eye can see. All the walls doors and windows covered in them. The main door people use to get into the chipotle from the mall. Was broken and not letting people get through. They knew about it but didn't do anything to fix it in the mean time. To cheap to use a door stop?

Poor customer service skills by all employees, slower than sh*t service, dirty tables (EVERY SINGLE TABLE), chairs stacked before closing. Disappointing. Management needs to step up to the plate.

I'm here at 9pm- this place closes at 10pm... They are out of half the items... Cleaning up to go home and not making anymore?!?! You have another hour of service!! Another complaint- I parked and three of the employees were taking out the garbage with their aprons on... Sure fine until they get back into the store and enter the food area without washing their hands or changing their aprons. So unsanitary!! Someone needs to teach these kids the basics of working in the food industry!! I could seriously go on about all the other unsanitary things they were doing but I won't. Wondering why I still purchased food?? Well I was hangry and I'm going to disregard the disgusting behavior this time. (I'm sure everyone says that at his location). It is too bad that this Chipotle is overlooked. They are always busy due to the neighborhood and chain name therefore cooperate will likely not care about my negative review because they will always make money here no matter what... Anyway time to eat!

Without a doubt the worst location in the twin cities. Hard to find parking, emotionless staff, frozen lettuce and salsas and wrappers who have no idea what the hell they're doing. The past two times I went (which will be the last) I rewrapped my own mess of a burrito and considered asking the people behind the counter if I could roll it myself even before they defiled it with their lack of skills. Any other location I've ever been to has offered to start over if they tear, or they give burrito away for free if you had to wait more than five minutes for an item that you wanted. Aka: fajita veggies. Life is too cruel to be anything but kind, and I hate being so negative. As a service industry worker, yelpers with atrocious attitudes make my blood boil. I mean, get a life right?! But...holy s**t this grand avenue location needs a makeover and a reminder that chipotle isn't affiliated with McDonalds anymore. Get your s**t together, and by that I mean get your basic, hard to get wrong formula back on track. For now, Cedar avenue location will be my spot.

The lettuce/cheese/sour cream station was so filthy from other orders that each new order had food smeared on the bowls and foils. The cashier had to step in back for something so the line got held up. The kid working the station took the down time to go get a soda for himself instead of taking 10 seconds to grab a towel and wipe the thing down. Gross.

  • Byron T.

SLOOOOOOOOOOW!!! Is this really a chipotle? ... It's 5 times slower than any other location I've been to. If you own this franchise or are the manager of this establishment I would suggest you hit the reset button. That's all folks.

    (1)
  • Spencer M.

I stopped coming to this chipotle for almost a year because of the slow service. I thought I would give it another chance today. Unfortunately nothing has changed. The line is wrapped twice around and the workers have no sense of urgency. I guess I will continue my boycott of this chipotle.

    (1)
  • Laura M.

Chipotle is my favorite food but the last few times I've been to this franchise have been the worst. First, I ordered online and got there 5 minutes after the pickup time and it was not ready, waiting an extra 10 for the food. Second I ordered online and they messed up our burritos and third I came in and the service was terribly slow. The cashier was refilling chips that were already filled and the line was way out the door. You need to talk to your team about faster and better service because this is unacceptable!

    (2)
  • Brian W.

I love Chipotle but this was an absolute disaster. The kid that denied to roll my burrito because it was his "second day" could have been schooled by all the chipotle lovers in line. The staff could not care less that there were people waiting in line. I had to request that they take the black charred chicken pieces out of my burrito. The staff continued to leave to check on the trays but walked right passed the overflowing garbages. And the worst part was that there was no manager in site to rally the troops. I am a loyal Chipotle fan but I will never return to this location again.

    (1)
  • Emily J.

I love Chipotle. Having said that, I do not enjoy this Chipotle at all. Every experience I've had at this location has been less than I expect from this chain. The employees are very slow, usually unfriendly and overall seem underprepared to accommodate to the needs of the people in line (i.e. they don't have extra food prepared when they run out/take their sweet time to replace it). A smile and a little haste would go a long way!

    (2)
  • Hope S.

One word: SLOW! This was the worst service I've experienced. Usually any Chipotle I go to is on top of things but this location is a complete 180 of any other location I've been to. This Chipotle had one worker actually doing anything while a few employees were wandering around. The employees were more interested in chatting with one another (even the one person that was working) than serving guests. I would NOT go back to this location not to mention parking is a pain. The cleanliness was below average too. Messy condiment area, dirty tables, food all over the dining floor. Food portion was of decent size but not very warm.

    (2)
  • Martin O.

I just got my burrito and my burrito bowl. I had to ask if Chipotle started selling half orders. For the price I am simply going to spend my money somewhere else. I am very disappointed to have spent my money here today.

    (2)
  • Cliff S.

The Slowest Chipotle I have ever been to. Very inefficient workflow. Staff seems to not be aware of how to move more quickly when there is a long line and how to prioritize their customers first.

    (1)
  • Ryan C.

As with most places in the area, the location is convenient, but parking is a hassle. The line was probably 5-10 people long, but the service was slower than at most Chipotles. We waited for steak that was the rarest steak I have ever seen at a Chipotle. Maybe it was taken off a few minutes too early due to being out at the counter. Also, there was a large clog at the end of the line due to not enough employees there to wrap burritos, fill guac, and man the register. Food was still very good (I like my steak rare) and sitting outside on a nice evening was worth the wait. The tables, inside and out, could have all used a wipe however. I'm guessing they were understaffed, but might go to other locations in the future instead.

    (2)
  • Patrick J.

Really lackluster service. Took 25 minutes to get through the line last Friday evening. The first guy said they were out of hard shell tacos, no apology, didn't seem to care. The last guy in the line before checkout and the checkout woman were super slow and stopped frequently to shoot the breeze with each other.

    (2)
  • Kaitlen B.

We have frequented this location many times over the last few years because it is in our neighborhood. It has been a slow decline in service, food quality, cleanliness and length of time standing in line. They are frequently out of chicken or meats, holding up the line even further. We will not go to this location anymore.

    (2)
  • Lisa E.

This Chipotle location in particular stands out to me because they have been consistent in good service and portions. I walk out with a pretty substantial bowl every time; enough for two meals. Only complaint is that there never seem to be any lime wedges left. LOL

  • Jana H.

On Saturday I ran into Chipotle to grab some bottled water. I thought this would be a quick trip because I was simply grabbing water and would not have to wait in line for food etc.... I was very wrong! With one person ahead of me in line, it took me about 6 minutes or more to actually simply purchase water, no food. There was one guy managing the line and the cash register until he yelled in the back for help. I love Chipotle but still avoid this location at all costs. This location is slower than a turtle with one leg!

    (2)
  • Justin K.

Excellent food, although not happy about the recent price bump (makes sense, though, considering the nationwide spike in grain prices). Great, friendly service rarely disappoints. Can be a little slow if one (or three) of the line workers is on break during the dinner rush, but that's rare. Convenient parking and outdoor seating available. Pro-tip, ask for an extra piece of foil to wrap half your burrito before you start eating to avoid the inevitable carb coma that ensues after inadvertently eating a whole 20 oz burrito.

    (4)
  • Texas V.

Do not go to this one on GRAND!! The food just doesn't taste right..1) the meat is cold?!? 2) the customer service is bad 3) it's dirty there!! me and my bf have gone there 4x's because its the closest to where he lives..but each time we look at each other and say...why? They need new management or just hire more people.

This is the worst Chipotle of the 20 or so I've been to. The food quality is fine and the workers are nice enough. It is just really, really, slow. Normally I'd expect to have my burrito in under 5 minutes when there are only 5-10 people ahead of me, it took about 15 during my last visit to this place. Honestly, it's really hard for me to recommend not going to Chipotle because I love the food so much. But, if your on Grand Avenue, eat somewhere else. It's just not worth the wait.

I don't usually write reviews of chains, and you all know what to expect from Chipotle. But I just wanted to do a shout-out the all of the wonderful young ladies who work the service line. They always do a terrific job, far more than one would expect from fast food.

I didn't realize this location was on Grand till a few months ago. It was perfectly nestled in the hustle and bustle of Grand Avenue - and I simply didn't notice it. I finally made it down to this location for lunch and it was perfect. Easy to access, the line moved quickly (and it was the busy lunch hour) - and the staff was friendly and outgoing. I'll be back for sure.

I love Chipotle but the service and food at the Grand Ave location was very disappointing. On more than one occasion I have been overcharged, the food proportions have been considerably smaller than other locations and the workers are often times rude. Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
